Karen it is great to hear from you. The other two kittens are adorable, although look very little like Murphy! He is an absolute treat, and undisputed member of our family. There is a very strong raport between him and both of our children. If he has a chilce of anywhere to sleep, he will always choose one of the little ones, preferably as close as possible! One of his favorite things to do is snuggle up with Olivia (baby, now 10 months) and "groom" her hair. He is incredibly affectionate, alhtough this is on his own terms in that he wants to be on and around everyone, just not held. He purrs if you simply say his name, and comes bounding from wherever he is, 'howling' the entire way (he is very vocal!). His hunting instincts have unfortunately been tested, and shown to be very strong. Our other cat still goes outside freely through a magnetic cat door and has brought live creatures into the home. On one occasion I panicked and locked both cats and flying bird in the bathroom. Within 20 seconds I realized the folly of this action and quickly opened the door to find Murphy (then 8 months) with the live bird in his mouth. Fortunately, he does not have a killer instinct! One of the most positive attributes of Murphy is his gentleness. He has never shown any aggressive behavior towards a single member of the family, even when our 3 year old (who regularly declares his love of Murphy) tries to totes him around. Despite Murphy's incredibly playful nature and often over-enthusiastic play there are remarkable few scratches had by anyone, and those are a direct result of poor hand placement! Not a single bite to date! Murphy and Tuborg (our other large male) are now the best of pals to the extent they have grooming sessions. Tuborg definitely puts Murphy in his place on a daily basis, usually following extensive wrestling and chasing around the house. Murphy loves getting outside, and our harness and 16ft leash are ideal. He has actually been camping with us as well as some other road trips (not always fun since he has a very loud voice!). We are so pleased to have Murphy as a member of our family and can't praise your kennel enough for matching us up with him. I would, and have, recommended your cats as family pets. Murphy is great with kids, very social and affectionate, stunning to look at, and a regular source of amusement.
